P. A. Baysinger Dead.

Death came last evening at 6 o’clock to end the long and patient suffering of P. A. Baysinger at his home in Spring Grove.

Mr. Baysinger was 49 years of age and had resided in Galena 15 years. His last and most serious illness began about ten days ago and death was due to a complication of ailments.

Present at the time of death were his parents, three brothers and one sister. Besides these relatives Mr. Baysinger is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Sam Hunsacker, and Ada Baysinger, and one son, O. P. Baysinger.

Deceased was a member of the Woodmen of the World, Woodman Circle and Sons of Veterans. The funeral will be held at the family residence tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by the Woodmen of the World, and burial will be in Galena cemetery. The other lodges will attend in a body.

Biographical Notes:
Peter was the son of James V. Baysinger, native of Kentucky and his wife Harriet Owsley Baysinger, native of Illinois, and was native of Illinois himself. He had several known siblings-- Rebecca, Charles, William, George, John, Margaret, Rosa, and Walter.

He married Letty Ann Belle Archer on February 12, 1880, in Jasper County, Missouri.

* TO LONG SUFFERING.

Had Lived in Galena 20 Years and
Leaves Many Relatives.


After an illness of only ten days' duration death relieved the sufferings of Mr. Peter Baysinger, aged 50 years, last night at 7:40 o'clock. Mr. Baysinger lived in Galena about twenty years and has lived at the home where he died, Sixteenth and Joplin, for about fifteen years.

Mr. Baysinger was well and favorably known in Galena. He was a member of the Sons of Veterans and Woodman (sic) [Woodmen] of the World. Mr. Baysinger is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Sam Hunsucker (sic) [Hunsaker] and Miss Ada Baysinger, and one son, O. M. Baysinger, all of whom reside in Galena, besides his aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Baysinger of Pittsburg, Kan., and several brothers and sisters.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon from the family residence and interment will be made in the Galena cemetery.
