Mr. Floyd Deo "Dee" LeMaster, age 74, of Orlando, Florida entered this life on January 15, 1945 in Portland, Indiana. He was the son of the late Floyd Deo LeMaster, II and Nevada Jane McKinley LeMaster. He was raised in Jefferson County and graduated high school. He also attended college. He was inducted into the United States Army and rose to the rate of Corporal. He was honorably discharged on September 30, 1970. On July 13, 1962 he was united in marriage to Joyce Faye Butler in Winchester, Indiana. This happy union of 57 years raised four children. He had worked as a welder and supervisor in the manufactured housing industry. He and Joyce retired to Leesburg, Florida and lived there for 15 years. He was a member, trustee and served on the finance committee of Christ United Methodist Church in Leesburg, Florida. Dee enjoyed playing golf and enjoyed living in Leesburg. Floyd died on Sunday, October 27, 2019, at the Cornerstone Hospice Care Center At Orlando Health in Orlando, Florida.
A LOVING FAMILY
Floyd will be missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Faye Butler LeMaster of Versailles, Indiana; his children, Floyd Deo LeMaster, IV of Michigan, Tonya K. Swafford and her husband, Robert of Dayton, Ohio, Chippra Thacker of Kentucky, Marty Redford; his grandchildren, Samara, Danielle, Madalyn, Camey, Joshua, and Derick; 15-great grandchildren; his sisters, Gleda Brooks and her husband, Pastor Jerry Brooks of Versailles, Indiana, Carol Brooks and her husband, Jack of Lexington, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Deo LeMaster, II, died August 15, 1972, and his mother, Nevada Jane "Janie" McKinley LeMaster, died February 20, 2001.
GRAVESIDE CEREMONY & MILITARY HONORS
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., by Rev. Jerry Brooks at the Grandview Memorial Gardens, 9306 North US 421 in Madison, Indiana. Military honors will be conducted by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion.
