Bettie Mae Moran Boorda, 82,of Alexandria, VA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Macklin House, Alexandria, VA. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Comanche, Oklahoma.
Bettie was born August 17, 1938 in Cleveland County, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late James Edward Moran and Ethel Barnett Moran.
Bettie is survived by her children, David Boorda, Edward Boorda (Brenda), Anna Dowling (Robert), Robert Boorda (Dina), grandchildren, Cindy Hillock, Andrew Boorda (Jenni), Phillip Boorda (Holly), Aaron Goodpasture, Peter Boorda, Brandon Goodpasture, Sara Cookson (Lance), Michael Boorda, Angela Thomas (Beatty), Harrison Boorda, Michelle Lansing (Tim), and Robert Dowling Jr.and great grandchildren, Caroline Valley Thomas, Are Colton Boorda, William Baxter Thomas, Charlotte Boorda, Easley Boorda, Connor Boorda, Colin Thomas, Susannah Thomas, and Caroline Boorda.
In addition to her parents, Bettie was preceded in death by her husband Admiral Jeremy Michael “Mike” Boorda.
