Jeanette Dee (Schuler) Deeken-Juhl went to heaven on January 17, 2016 at the age of 96. She was born on January 2, 1920 in Wathena, Kansas to Henry and Grace (Lehman) Schuler.

Jeanette was married to Albert Deeken for 48 years and then to Fred Juhl for 18 years. She is survived by her son, David and his wife, Virginia, a grandson, Todd Deeken and wife Catherine, a granddaughter, Aimee Deeken, and a great-grandson, Bodie Deeken.

She is also survived by her step-son J.R. Juhl and his wife Jennifer, step-daughter, Debbie Weitlich and her husband Richard, and step-daughter, Fredda Smith and her husband Lyle. Jeanette attended a one-room school in Wathena and then graduated from Wathena H.S. Later she attended Guard Business School in St. Joseph.

Jeanette and Albert were self-employed until they retired in 1993. Jeanette was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, the Lutheran Women’s Circle, Happy Valley Homemakers Club and American Legion Auxiliary.
