Celebration of Life services for Milton Carl Lange Sr., 89, of Taylor were held Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale. Burial was in Taylor City Cemetery.

Mr. Lange died Jan. 27, 2011.

He was born Feb. 26, 1921.

He married Ervie Falk on Dec. 25, 1945, and she preceded him in death.

Mr. Lange served in the U.S. Army/Air Corps from April 1943 to October 1945, traveling all over the U.S. and Europe. He was a flight engineer and top gunner on a B17 in World War II, flying 35 missions over Germany.

Mr. Lange farmed for many years and then was a farm chemical salesman before his retirement.

He enjoyed being with family and doing anything he was able for the VFW.

Mr. Lange was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and had served as adjutant with Post No. 4009 in Thorndale for several years.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Ida and Fritz Lange; a brother, Reuben Lange; and granddaughter Ellen Lange Biehle.

Survivor are a son, three daughters, a sister, a brother, a sister-in-law, grandchildren greatgrandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.
