Bliss William was born in Brimfield, Mass. Oct. 27, 1816, and died March 31, 1907, aged 90 years 5 months and 4 days. He left Mass. at 21 years of age, settling in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. On Sept. 3, 1841 he married Fannie M. Vincent at Cleveland. They had 4 children. He remained in Chagrin Falls until the spring of 1857 when he came to Wolcottville, where he lived 3 years. During this time he managed the woolen mills at Rome City. In the fall of '59 he came to Brimfield to the farm where he resided until his death. He was one of the charter members of the Congregational Church at Chagrin Falls. After coming to Brimfield he entered into the work of the Methodist Church. He was the means of establishing a railway station at this place and caused to be platted the present town, which he had named for his own home town in Mass. There remain 4 children, Frank T. of Chicago, Charles W., Emily M., and Mrs. W. A. McCarty; also 4 grandchildren, Fannie Bliss, Frank McCarty, William C.
