MRS. CHARITY C. JOHNSON -
Died Yesterday at Sons' Home on Trow Hill.
Mrs. Charity C. Johnson died yesterday at the home of her sons, Phil Batchelder and Volney Persons, on Trow hill as the result of a shock which she sustained nine days ago, when she fell and hurt one arm.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Orange Aug. 28, 1842, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bradford Freeman, but had lived in Barre Town practically all her life, having made her home with her sons for 25 years, since the death of her husband, six years of that time having been spent on Trow hill. For the past year she had been in failing health.
Besides the two sons above mentioned she leaves one daughter, Mrs. Fred Knight of Broad Brook, Conn., six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home on Tro hill, Rev. James Ramage officiating. The body will remain in the vault at Elmwood cemetery until spring, when interment will be made in the family lot.
