MADILL -- Services for Alice Lorene McClendon, 93, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Watts Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Lyndol Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
Born April 4, 1906, at Marshall County to Emmitt and Lola Kate Farmer Pearce, she died Nov. 6, 1999, at Madill. She married Claude Thomas Muncrief March 2, 1924. He preceded her in death Feb. 21, 1962. She then married Haskell "Hack" McClendon Jan. 11, 1965. He preceded her in death Oct. 13, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a son, Clifford Muncrief; a daughter, Hazel Mae Muncrief; one brother, Wallace Pearce; and one sister, Nola Pearce.
Mrs. McClendon lived her entire life at Marshall County. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her children, Ervin Muncrief, Marshall County, Edward Muncrief, Carlsbad, N.M., Tenne Sneed, Madill, Ruth Peoples, Ardmore, Robert Muncrief, Ardmore, Wanda Burk, Fort Worth, Texas, Kenneth Muncrief, Marshall County, Claude Muncrief, Marshall County and Wendyl Muncrief, Madill; 27 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be grandsons. Honorary bearers will be Haskell McClendon¹s grandsons.
Visitation will be noon to 9 p.m. today.
