Ann Neumann, 91, who lived in San Jose, California, died suddenly of a heart attack on Saturday, December 6, 1986.

Ann was born on a farm near Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska. She was married to Clemens Buch Neumann in 1921 and moved to a farm west of Ft. Calhoun, where they resided for 59 years. Ann was a member of the Green Valley and the Long Creek Neighborhood Club.

She was past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star and had received her 50 year pin. She was a member of the Ft. Calhoun Presbyterian Church.

Ann moved to San Jose, California in 1980 upon the death of her husband, to reside near her daughters. Ann was active up until the time of death, caring for herself in her own apartment.

She is survived by her daughters Jean Wenberg of Saratoga, California; Ruth Ann Critchfield of San Jose, California; Grandsons Scott Duncan of Saratoga, Californiam Todd Critchfield of Santa Cruz, California; great-granddaughter, Courtney Duncan of Saratoga, California; two sisters, Lorraine Wiese of Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska; Myrtle Blankenfeld of Lompoc, California and one brother, Vic Christensen of Omaha. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and three step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and a step-son, Harold Schneemeyer; four brothers, Chris, Mac, Albert and Russell Christensen and two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Emma) Born and Mrs. Rollo (Dorothy) Allen. Memorial services were held at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Cupertino, California, on December 10, 1986 with Pastor William J. Gutknecht officiating.
