Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, at New Trace Creek Cemetery near Glen Allen, Mo., for Truman Lester and Norma Lee Basham, of Jackson, Mo., formerly of Glen Allen. Rev. Ivan Dowd will officiate.

Truman Lester Basham passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Norma Lee Mosier Basham also passed away at St. Francis Medical Center on Friday, Sept. 25, 2020. They were married December 31, 1961.

Truman was born on July 26, 1941, at Alley Springs, Mo., the son of the late James “Jack” Carter and Bertha Mae Huddleston Basham. Truman was a retired Laborer for Pace Construction. He had owned and operated a sawmill for ten years in the Glen Allen community.

Norma was born on November 22, 1942, near Cooter, Mo., the daughter of the late Mitchell Wayne and Josie Mae Russell Mosier. She was a homemaker and quilted quilts professionally.

They were the parents of four children: Steve (Cindy) Basham of Marble Hill, Mo, Russ (Jodie) Basham of Burfordville, Mo., Debbie Wood of Perryville, Mo., and Randy Basham; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceding them in death were their son, Randy, and two great-grandchildren.

Truman is also survived by three brothers: Jack Basham, Danny Basham and Jerry Basham, and a sister, Phyllis Baker. A brother, Ron, preceded him in death.

Norma is survived by three sisters: Virginia Rounsaville, Gloria Basham and Nellie Scott. Three brothers, Kenneth, Lonzo and Billy Joe Mosier preceded her in death.
