Virginia was the daughter of Harold Eveleigh Carter Sr. and Cora F. (Biggs) Carter. She had two brothers Harold Eveleigh Jr. and Thomas Neal. She first married Rev. Roger Wilkins Tucker on July 2, 1947 in Guilford, NC. They had two children Ronald and Jenny. When her husband passed away after 64 years of marriage she married Rev. Jesse Johnson Jr. b. Mar. 15, 1918 Siler City, NC-d. July 31, 2013 Charlotte, NC.
