Mr. Kent S. Alber, age 47 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, September 21, 2007, at the Capital Region Medical Center. Kent was born November 5, 1959, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Leon and Leona Schmidt Alber. His father, Leon Alber, survives in Jefferson City, Mo.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Kent graduated from Jefferson City High School. He was employed as a laborer in highway construction.
Other survives include: one son, Shayne S. Alber of Jefferson City, Mo.; one daughter, Amanda A. Brown and her husband Larry of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters, Christine Finch of San Diego, California and Leanne Pecher of Holts Summit, Mo.; one brother, Louis Alber of Jefferson City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Brent Alber, McKala Alber, and Seth Brown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at Immaculate Conception Church with the Reverend Tom Alber and the Reverend Benjamin Nwosu concelebrating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5-7 p.m. Monday with a prayer service to be conducted at 7 p.m. in the Freeman Chapel.
