A Celebration of Ray E. Crocker's Life, age 99 of Pineland, Texas, will be 2:00pm, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper, Texas with burial following at Memorial Park Cemetery in Jasper, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00pm, Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
Ray is a native of San Augustine, Texas and longtime resident of Pineland, Texas, he is a life member of the Bronson Masonic Lodge, Frank Sexton Lodge in San Augustine, Sharon Shrine of Tyler, Texas and Scottish Rights of Waco, Texas. A graduate of Burleson High School in 1939. He served after graduation in the United States Army Air Corp, during World War II as a Staff Sergeant. He then attended Stephen F. Austin University and received a master's degree in Agriculture, and taught AG in east Texas for 35 years. A highly active member of the Pineland Service Club. Ray was an active member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Pineland.
Ray is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dixie Crocker of Pineland, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mult and Lucia Crocker; his four brothers, Fred, Earl, Mult Wilber; and his three sisters, Lura, Dura and Margie.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The First Baptist Church of Pineland, P.O. Box 216, Pineland, TX 75968 or the Little Flock Cemetery Association, c/o Brother Leo Wright, 118 PR 8130, Bronson, TX 75930.
