Shirley Ann Cabales (Corral), affectionately known as "Tia" passed away April 26, 2017 in Stockton after a lengthy illness. Shirley Ann was born in Stockton, CA on April 20, 1954 to the Late Abram H. Corral and Shirley Rios Corral. She was the loving sister of brothers Michael Corral Sr., Francis Corral, Abram H. Corral Jr., Gabriel G. Corral, and her sister Adela M. Nevarez.
As a young woman, she worked for the Alan Short Center, Catholic Charities, and retired from Lincoln Unified School District. She loved her family, jazz music, camping and her cats, especially "Osa." She is survived by her mother Shirley Rios Corral, all her siblings, her son Manuel Luis Rivas, her granddaughter Cierra Rivas, her companion of many years, Gene Gascon, and numerous nieces, nephews, and family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 13th at 2:00 at Casa Flores, 400 E. Kettleman Lane, Lodi, CA 95240. For more information, call Adela at (209) 689-4046. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to San Joaquin Hospice House. Zapata Funeral Home.
