Mary C. Hernandez, age 90 of Cameron, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in the Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
Mary was born August 3, 1930 in Gause to William Jackson and Lucinda (Bunn) Greene. She worked in the health field as a nurse’s aide. She enjoyed spending time reading and gardening. On May 7, 1988, she and Simon G. Hernandez were married in Rockdale.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Simon Hernandez; Two sons, David Johnson and Curtis Johnson; Two daughters, Cindy Sanders and Carol McDaniel; A granddaughter, Cathy Woods; her parents and 19 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her sons, Robert Johnson and wife Debbie of Wichita, Kansas, Darrell Johnson and wife Bonnie of Milano, William Johnson and wife Juanita of Taylor and Calvin Johnson and wife Bobbie of Crockett. 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are grandsons Thomas Johnson and Tim Johnson, and sons Calvin, William, Darrell and Robert Johnson.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 28, 2020 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Calvin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
