He married Angela Ulrich on June 18, 1951. He worked as a store assistant manager at Hinky Dinky in Seward and Fremont, Nebraska.
He enjoyed golfing, swimming at the YMCA, and sports. He loved desserts. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
