William Cain Hooser married Johanna E. HALE on October 10, 1850 at Clarksville, Red River Co., TX. To this union were born these known children: Nannie J., Martha Lou "Maggie", William Bedley, Samuel Smith, James William and R. L. Hooser. Johanna died betweeen 31Aug1870 and 27Dec1871 in Ellis Co., TX, near Milford.

Second, William C. married Parilee COUNTS on December 27, 1871 in Ellis Co., TX., near Italy. To this union were born these known children: Jodie, John Henry, Margaret, George Frank and Nora Myrtle Hooser.

AGED TEXAN DIED WEDNESDAY NIGHT
WILLIAM C. HOOSER, VETERAN OF TWO WARS, DIED AT HIS HOME HERE.

William C. Hooser, aged ninety years, died at the family home in this city Wednesday evening. Funeral arrangements have not been announced pending the arrival here of two sons from Navarro county.

Deceased was born in Tennessee and came to Red River county, Texas, in 1844. He volunteered for service in the Mexican war but the war ended before he reached the front. In 1856 he moved to Ellis county, and came to Abilene in 1907. He was a veteran of the war between the States, having a commission to gather cattle for the Confederate Commissary Department. He was a member of the Methodist church for sixty years, and was everywhere very highly regarded.

Four grown sons and two daughters survive, as well as a widow. The sons are J. H. and G. F. Hooser of Jones county and S. S. and J. W. Hooser of Navarro county. The daughters are Mrs. E. E. Dawson of Abilene and Mrs. Clonts of Ellis county.

In all probability the funeral services will be held some time Friday afternoon."

Dr. Hunt Conducts Rites For Pioneer Resident Of Abilene---

Last rites for Mrs. Parilee Hooser, 85, were held from the Laughter chapel, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Dr. J. W. Hunt, president of McMurry College, officiating.

Mrs. Hooser, a resident of Abilene since 1907 died at the home of her son, J. H. Hooser, 602 Vine street Saturday morning at 4 o'clock following an illness of two weeks.

A native of Mississippi, Mrs. Hooser moved to Texas in 1871, settling in Ellis County. With her husband, she moved to Abilene in 1907 where she lived continuously until her death. Mr. Hooser died here in 1917 [sic 1916]. Interment will be beside his grave at the Odd Fellows cemetery.

Besides her son here, Mrs. Hooser is survived by a daughter, Mrs. E. E. Dawson, of Del Rio, and a son, G. F. Hooser.

Mrs. Dawson and husband, the Rev. Mr. Dawson, were here for the funeral.

Pallbearers for the funeral were: J. Harvey Clark, N. G. Rollins, Robert Rankin, J. F. Clark, Joe Jay, Walter Jennings and Turner Rollins."
