Neil Brannon, 79, of Arkoma, OK passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 in Ft. Smith, AR. Neil was born October 29, 1940 in Muse, OK to Ammon James & Jewel Dean (Hall) Brannon. He was a lifetime educator and spent eight years in the Oklahoma State Legislature. He was an elder in the Community of Christ Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob Brannon & wife Mickey, Gene Brannon, Lonnie Brannon, sister, Helen Barrett, brother in law, Gordon Semore; sister in law, Kay Bowlin.

Survivors include his wife, Gail of the home; daughter, Launa Benson & husband David of Poteau; grandchildren, Breanna Womack & Shawn, Briley Pulley & Paul; great grandchildren, Benson & Brawnson Womack, Ammon Pulley; sisters in law, Dawna Brannon, June Weant & husband Andy, Norma Semore, Donna McKinney; other relatives, loved ones and friends

Services will 10 am, Friday, September 25, 2020 at Evans Chapel with Sally McGowen officiating. Interment will follow at Fanshawe Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5-6 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
