She was born on January 4, 1928 in Guttenberg, the daughter of Ben and Ona Kulper.
Gilda received her education from the Osterdock Country School and later graduated from the Colesburg High School.
On January 18, 1949 Gilda was united in marriage with Leland Frank Miller and the couple was blessed with 3 children, Marc, Bradley & Tina.
Over the years Gilda made home for her family while farming with her husband and eventually became an over the road truck driver.
Gilda enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, taxidermy, hunting, fishing, taking trips to the boat for some gambling and having family dinners.
Gilda is survived by her 2 children, Brad (Tamra) Miller & Tina (Michael) Faust; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother Robert (Lolita) Kulper and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Marc Miller; brother, Harvey Kulper and sister, Hazel Rademacker.
In Lieu of flowers and all other styles of sympathy the family requests memorials to benefit the following organizations: American Cancer Society, Living Water Bible Fellowship in Guttenberg, IA, Hero’s Haven Animal Rescue, Manchester, IA or the Guttenberg River Living Center.
