Mr. James Edward Luke, Jr. age 64 of Franklin passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at his residence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Luke was a native of Miami, FL but had lived in Monroeville for the past twenty years. He served as commander from 2003-2008 for Post# 61 American Legion. Mr. Luke was also the president of Soldiers of the Cross Motorcycle Minister (SOTC) and served as the chapel service minister for Alabama Work Release in Camden, AL. He was a member of God’s House of Deliverance and volunteered at Safety Net Boys Ranch in Minter, AL.

Mr. Luke was preceded in death by his parents James Edward Luke, Sr. and Geraldine Bailey Luke.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Terry Lee Crank of Franklin, AL; three sons Michael Luke of FL, Robert Luke of Graceville, FL and Jamie Luke of GA; two daughters Casie Ellen Conrad of Harrisburg, NC and Silvia Marie Brocklehurst of TX; one sister Anna Marie Rivers of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 2PM at Johnson Funeral Home with Bishop Maurice Etheridge officiating. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
