Mary Chapman Adams d 1866. After her death, Zachariah married Mary Ann Mountjoy in 1868 per the Saint John County marriage bond records. The newspaper account give her last name as Fanjoy, but their son Zachariah's death certificate confirms the name Mountjoy.

He was in the 82nd year of his age and lately has been in the best of health. He arose about 5 o'clock this morn. and called his son, after which he retired again for a nap.
