OBIT: Mr. Woodrow W. "Woody" Wills, 90, of Royersford, Pa., died Thursday morning, Aug. 15, at his home, following a long illness. He was the husband of Pearl Flohr Wills, with whom he would have celebrated his 67th wedding anniversary on Aug. 18. Born in Frederick, he was a son of the late Harvey C. and Nellie Whittington Wills.

Mr. Wills was a 1931 graduate of Thurmont High School. He then attended the former Blue Ridge College in New Windsor for one year. He had been a salesman for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for seven years. He then was a route salesman for Jewel Tea Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1974.

He and his wife then spent four years as volunteers with the American Baptist Church in Arizona and Oklahoma as missionaries to American Indian tribes. He then drove a school bus for Bethlehem School District in Bethlehem, Pa., for eight years, until his final retirement in 1993, when he moved to Royersford with his daughters.

Mr. Wills was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army, prior to World War II, serving in the Hawaiian Islands. He was a member of Royersford Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Graduates Group, a church senior citizen group. He was a railroad fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Julianne S. Williams and Vera M. Austin, both of Royersford; one son, John E. Wills and wife Mildred of Winter Garden, Fla.; three brothers, Richard Wills and Roger Wills, both of Frederick, and James Wills of Manassas, Va.; seven sisters, Ethel Ernest, Florence Nusz, Lucille Gibson, Frances Federline, Betty Chase and Barbara Stone, all of Frederick, and Delores Urey of North Plainfield, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Wills was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Wills; three sisters, Julia Ridenour, Edna Myers and Mary Dorton; and a son-in-law, George Williams.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 19, at Royersford Baptist Church, with the Rev. Martin L. Rolfs Massaglia, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment was in Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford. Memorial contributions may be made to Royersford Baptist Church Building Fund, 452 S. Lewis Road, Royersford, Pa. 19468. Shalkop-Grace Funeral Home, Spring City, Pa., was in charge of arrangements.
