Frances Louise Grissom, 87, passed away peacefully September 16, 2020 at her home near East Prairie. She was born on September 26, 1932 at Wolf Island, Missouri to Will Morris, Sr. and Gertie Mae Colvin Morris. Frances lived in the East Prairie area her entire life and was a member of the First Baptist Church of East Prairie. She retired in 1996 from the Missouri Division of Social Services.

Frances was first married to Orin Ambrose and later married Harry Grissom, who passed away on April 1, 1995.

She is survived by her son Andy (Kathy) Ambrose of East Prairie; daughter Rhonda (Johnny) Jenkins of Acworth, Georgia and stepson Keith (Jennifer) Grissom of East Prairie; her grandchildren Andrew (Julie) Ambrose of East Prairie, Heather (Nick) Overman of Woodstock, Georgia, Christopher Myers of Acworth, Georgia; and two great granddaughters, Ryanne and Ellie Ambrose of East Prairie. She is also survived by brothers Leroy Morris of Poplar Bluff, Will Morris, Jr. of Scott City and Jerry Morris of East Prairie; sisters Berniece Armstrong of Dickson, Tennessee and Jeannie Tatum of East Prairie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Willie Catt; infant sister Bessie Morris and stepdaughter Eva Hinshaw.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, followed by a graveside service at 5:00 p.m. at the Dogwood Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Brother George White of East Prairie.

Pallbearers will be Tim, Jim and Steve Irby, Todd Armstrong, Mark Carver and Doug Watson.

Services under the direction of the Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie.
