EDWIN TURNER ADAMS was born in Moreland,Fauquier Co.VA.
He was the Son of GEORGE ADAMS and ANN RICHARDS CHINN.
He was the Grandson of LYTTLETON ADAMS and Elizabeth Adas. LYTTLETON ADAMS was a REV. SOLDIER and was at VALLEY FORGE.
CSA Service--April 24,1861/enlisted in CO.H 6th VA Calvary. This unit later became WISE'S DRAGOONS.
1862 brought home by his family because of typhoid fever. After recovery, he returned to his Company. June 9,1863 at BRANDY STATION he was shot, the bullet entering his mouth and exiting the back of his neck. His parents came for him and took him home in an oxcart.
February 25,1876 he married ANNA SCOTT HARRISON/daughter of BENJAMIN HARRISON. They were the parents of 10 children.
1908, moved to MORRISVILLE,VA where he died June 2,1914.
