Noah Ellison Boggs is the son of William Clark Boggs and Sara Falls Dickson, the husband of Sarah C Wilson whom he married about 1867 and the father of Alexander Dixon, Jane, Mary Etta, John Pate, Andrew Max, Elizabeth Falls, Hattie, and Arcie E. Boggs.

Noah enlisted in the Civil War from Cleveland County and joined the 49th NC Infantry Regiment in Company B as a Corporal and came out as a Sergeant. Ref: M230 Roll 4
