Mrs. Ann A. (Amendola) Abriola, 88, formerly of Blandina St., passed away on December 27, 2005 in the Hill Springs Nursing Home in Springboro, OH. She was born in Utica, December 27, 1917, a daughter of the late Anthony and Angelina Mondello Amendola. She was educated in local schools and on July 5, 1941, Ann was joined in marriage to Louis L. Abriola. Ann and Louie enjoyed a very close and loving marriage of over 60 years. Mr. Abriola passed away on May 5, 2002. Mrs. Abriola was employed for many years at the Cordine Knitting Mill and Mele Manufacturing, retiring several years ago. Ann's happiest times were spent with her family, especially her beloved husband, and they enjoyed traveling, dining out and dancing at the many clubs and organizations that they belonged to. They both will be very sadly missed. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Annette and Charles Papelino of Utica, Angela and Dr. Ronald Pedalino of Ohio; and one son, Frank Abriola of Utica; her grandchildren, Jeannine and Dr. Keith Papelino-Johnson, Charlene and Tom Benjamin, Joseph Pedalino and Carlisa and Chris Harris, Elizabeth and David Fern, and Emily Abriola; five great-grandchildren, Aaron, Anna and Errol Fern, Matthew Benjamin and Corina Maye Harris; also many nieces, nephews; and two special cousins, Ann and Silvio Ionta. She was predeceased by her brother, Dominick "Tom" Amendola. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery & Mausoleum.
