CHOCTAW - - Lois Jean Adams, 80, passed away May 30, 2012 at her home in Choctaw, Oklahoma. She was born December 12, 1931 to Frank and Hazel DeVore Carmichael in Britton, Oklahoma.

Lois was a secretary for Choctaw Nicoma Park Public Schools at Choctaw Elementary and Westfall Elementary. She was a member of Choctaw First Baptist Church, where she served in WMU and Adult Choir and was a member of Treble Clefs. She enjoyed singing, watching old movies, feeding and watching the birds and loved drawing her own Christmas cards.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond, grandson, Matthew, sisters, Mary Jo Kessler and Betty Sue Ellard and two brothers.

Survivors include one son, Paul Adams and wife Jean of Edmond, Oklahoma, three daughters, Mary Sue Gilliland and husband Jim of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Karen Gilliland and husband Danny of Watonga, Oklahoma and Amy Adams of the home, two grandchildren, Ross Adams and Katy Gilliland, one great-granddaughter, Kaia Adams, sisters-in-law, Mary Jean Adams and Annabelle Matthews and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Choctaw First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. To leave condolences, you may visit www.eisenhourfuneralhome.com.
