Henry Eli Barr, 94, of Hillsville, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Henry is son of John William Barr Laurena Semones Barr


Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Eunice and Olen Horton of Fancy Gap, Elizabeth and Walter Hawkins of Salisbury, N.C., Genola and Jack Stuart of Mechanicsville,and Joyce and Mike Fisher of Fancy Gap; sons and daughters-in-law, William and Thelma Barr of Hillsville, Lester and Pat Barr of Louisa, Clifton and Mary Barr of Fancy Gap and Roger and Margie Barr of Fancy Gap; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Cheryl Hill and husband Dwayne and Linda Sharp, all of Hillsville; two step-sons and spouses, Ryland and Rosemary Humphrey of Kernersville, N.C., and Jerry and Susan Humphrey of Wytheville; six step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held September 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home with burial in the Mount Lebanon Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115.
