Leslie Dawn Cox was born September 20, 1969, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Robert and Linda (Cox) Stutzman, and passed away peacefully Sunday, September 13, 2020, at CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 50.
As a young girl, Leslie and her family moved to Portland, OR in 1983 and eventually moved back to Milford, where she resided until her death. In 1983, she met Harry Smith and soon Stephen was born, and later Anthony, Catalina and Adina were also added to the family.
Leslie worked for Sunrise Country Manor and enjoyed the residents and staff where she became friends with over the years. Her sister also worked for the nursing home for a period of time. She loved going to live concerts and enjoyed classic rock and country music. Her children were the center of her life and cherished the times spent with them.
Survivors include her children and spouses, Stephen Smith and fiancé, Jennifer Hoffman, both of Seward, Anthony and Taylor Cox, Lincoln, Catalina Cox, Milford, and mother, Linda Stutzman, also of Milford, two grandsons, Sam and Lane Smith, a sister, Jennifer Butler, Milford, life-long companion, Harry Smith, Lincoln, and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Stutzman, and a daughter, Adina Cox in 2010.
