He was born 30 Jan 1885 in Rossie, a son of Edward and Catherine Bogan Halpin. On 26 Nov 1919, he married Mary Purcell in St. Francis de Sales Church. She died on 26 Oct 1954.
Mr. Halpin had lived in Herkimer most of his life except for 13 years in Gloversville, NY.
He was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church and was active more than 50 years in the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Mary T. Halpin of Washington, DC; Mrs. James Dunn, Herkimer; two sisters Mrs. Nora Lally of Herkimer; Mrs. Margaret Boucher of Batavia, NY; several nieces and nephews.
