From the August 03, 1900 issue of The Marshall Republican newspaper, Marshall, Missouri -
Mrs. Maggie Montague, for years a resident of this city, died in St. Joseph Saturday, July 28th, and her remains were brought to Marshall for burial, attended by Lawrence Montague, an only son of the deceased.
The services were held at the home of Miss Pattie Irvine on North street Monday afternoon, being conducted by the former pastor of the deceased, Dr. L. P. Bowen. Interment followed at Mt. Olive cemetery, south of Marshall.
