Viola Faye Hankins Burnett, of Greenbrier, went home to be with her Lord, Friday, September 14, 2007. Born July 18, 1922 in the Pleasant Valley Community south of Wooster, she was the daughter of the late Mart and Malissa James Hankins.

Mrs. Burnett lived in the Pleasant Valley community all of her life and was an active member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. She was a clerk at Cordia's Gift Shoppe in Conway and later worked in Burdick Business Administration building at the University of Central Arkansas before her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Unis C. Burnett, a grandson, Wallace Carlton Burnett II and a great-grandson, Ronald Craig Beckman II, two sisters, Audrey Reed and Jewell Grimes Hendrickson and two brothers, Elbert Hankins and Thurman Hankins.

Survivors are three sons and daughters-in law, Eddie and Evelyn Burnett, Carlton and Sharon Burnett and Gary and Rose Burnett all of the Pleasant Valley community; eight grandchildren, Cindy Beckman (Ron) of Pleasant Valley; Robert Burnett (Theresa) of Conway; James C. Burnett of Camp Pendleton, San Diego,California (currently in Iraq); Rebeka Burnett-Bognaes (Kristian) of Oslo, Norway; Alison Cardin (Steven) of Greenbrier; Chad Reynolds of Marksville, Louisiana; Holly Keelin of Greenbrier and Chris Burnett (Christy) of Pleasant Valley; two brothers, Mack Hankins of Wooster and Oather Hankins of Conway; and one sister, Louvella Hill of Conway; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Sunday, September 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church on Hwy. 25, south of Wooster, Bro. Jack Bloxom and Bro. Mark Cothren officiating. Graveside services will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

Pallbearers are Robert Burnett, Chris Burnett, Ron Beckman, James Carlton Burnett, Jr., James E. Reed, Charles Reed, and Dwight Burnett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church building fund.
