Edna worked in Plains as a store clerk and a cook, ending her career as a cook at the then new hospital in Plains. Edna was a lifetime member of the VFW auxiliary in Plains. She was one of the few World War I widows still living.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; her brother, Warren C. Evans; her daughter, Mirtha Friesz Ormand; a granddaughter, Julie Cummings Duncil; a grandson, Michael S. Cummings; a great grandson, Caleb; and eight beloved nephews and nieces.
Edna is survived by her sister, Marie Johnson of Missoula, Montana; sons, Douglas (Neva) Cummings of Superior; Kenneth (Kay) Cummings of Spokane Valley, Washington; daughter, Joyce (Dan) Goodrich of Troy, Montana; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren and 14 beloved nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018, 1 p.m. at the Plains Cemetery, Plains, MT. Arrangements entrusted to Sunset Hills Funeral Homes & Crematory.
