Mother of:
Zimri Gray (husband of Tempy Stallings Gray),
Caroline Gray Stark (wife of Isaac W Stark) ,
Elizabeth "Betsey" Gray Cannon (Wife of Isaac Cannon).

************
Per additional info from a descendant and fellow genealogy researcher/ contributor ID #48461190: ... "Near TN state line, go a couple miles and you're in Pilot Oak, KY. Isaac Cannon, Elizabeth Cannon, and his brother William Cannon are all buried in Dukedom at Old Bethel Cemetery. Parthenia Stark Gray may be there too in unmarked grave".
**************

Per Census records, Parthenia was living with her daughter and son-in-law in Graves County, Kentucky at the time of her death and it is verly likely she rests near them in the same cemetery where their headstones are found.

There were several inter-marriages among the Stark, Gray and Cannon families including cousins marrying cousins, as was the custom of the timer period they lived in .

Some of Parthenia's relatives were involved in what became known as the Cannon-Stark Indian Massacre in 1815, an ambush on settlers on the banks of the Wabash River between Wabash County, Illinois and Posey County, Indiana. Parthenia Stark Gray was not known to have been involved directly, but at least 2 of her extended family kin were killed, and several others were taken as captives by the Indians for 2 years until finally being traded for ransom and released. One of the captives was a little girl named Parthenia "Theney" Cannon born about 1804. Some accounts of the event floating around on the internet and family trees online contain many innacuracies, including confusing Parthenia Stark Gray with Parthenia Cannon.

An early account of the Massacre may be found at: Illinois State Historical Society Vol 11, #4, January 1919 which is available online via a Google search. (**It was William Cannon Sr. who was killed and scalped along with his son Samuel Cannon. His wife Abigail Arabella Williams Cannon was the elder woman taken captive, along with the little girl Theney Cannon, and John Stark her son-in-law; who was also Parthenia Stark Gray's brother. This John Stark married Keziah "Kizzie" Cannon).
