Born in Lincoln County, she was a homemaker and a member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church of Gastonia.
Survivors include her husband, Joel David "Joe" White Sr.; two sons, Joel David White Jr., and Mark Dwayne White, both of Cherryville; one daughter, Kim Cogdill of Cherryville; two brothers, Dennis Young, and Terry Young, both of Cherryville; two sisters, Loretta Young Jackson of Shelby, and Lavonda Young Mauney of Gastonia; and six grandchildren, Josh White, Lindsay White, Amber White, Tyler White, Meredith Cogdill, and Chase Cogdill.
