Glen Brasel, age 99 of Elm Springs died Sunday December 10, 2006 in Rogers. He was born April 22, 1907 in Jasper, AR, the son of Rich and Zona Casey Brasel. He was a retired Poultry Farmer and served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Jo Slaughter and son-in-law, Johnny.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Libby Brasel of the home; 3 daughters, Shirley Patton and husband, Coy of Elm Springs, Gail Simpson and husband, Mark and Marsha Simpson and husband, Terry all of Gainesville, GA; one son, Charles Brasel and wife, Twyla of Coal Hill, AR; 2 brothers, Walter Brasel of Jasper and Joe Brasel of Coal Hill; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the chapel of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale with Mr. Jimmy Allen and Mr. Coy Patton officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with family present.
Memorials may be made to the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ Youth Dept.
