At the time of her death she was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as Ward Organist, Visiting Teaching Supervisor, and Visiting Teacher. She was an accomplished musician and served as Ward and Stake Organist in various wards and stakes for 58 years. She was a member of the Tabernacle Choir for 20 years and sang in many productions throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Her husband directed five Gilbert and Sullivan Operas where she sang the soprano lead. Together they also produced many Messiah Productions. She was Chapel Organist at the Jordan River Temple for many years. She taught piano and voice for many years. She served as Counselor in two Relief Society Presidencies, was Young Women's President, Jr. Sunday School Coordinator, and Teacher in all organizations.
Funeral Services were held on Monday, February 26th 2007 at 11 AM at the Draper Riverview 6th Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 552 East 11400 South in Draper. Family and Friends attended a Viewing on Sunday Evening from 6-8 PM at the McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road in Taylorsville and on Saturday at the Church One Hour Prior To Services.
Graveside Services followed at the Valley View Memorial Park in West Valley City where she was buried.
Orlon passed away on September 10th 2007.
