Dorothy Effie Allen Hutchens passed away July 24, 2022 at SECU Hospice Care Center.
She was born November 27, 1932 in Davie County to Isaac Branch and Lydia Smith Allen.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Hutchens; and her siblings, Mildred Smith, Margaret Carter, Orpha Norman, Herman Allen, Herber Allen, and Joseph Johnson Allen.
She is survived by her sons, David (Leah) Hutchens and Daniel (Julie Ann) Hutchens; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Stewart.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Deep Creek Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
