James Terrell “Buddy” Sanders passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020, surviving a five year battle with mesothelioma. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 6, 2020 at East Juliette Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Mark Goolsby will officiate. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will not be a formal visitation.

Buddy was born February 21, 1946 in Juliette, Georgia. His mother, Thelma Sanders Fordham preceded him in death. He was retired from Southern Natural Gas and was a veteran of the Georgia Army National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Dean Sanders of Lebanon, TN; children, Jeff Sanders (Kitty) of Covington, Dedee Beveridge (Ted) of Lebanon, TN and Carl “Scooter” (Keri) of Lebanon, TN; sisters, Debbie Abney (Glenn) of Cochran and Rosenia Sanders Durden of Atlanta, grandchildren who lovingly called him “Buddy”, Austin Sanders Davis, Casey Andrews, Drake Andrews, Brook Beveridge, Chole Beveridge, Haegon Sanders, Tanner Sanders and Ammarie Sande; and his special Angel, Mrs. Mina Brown.

The family requests no flowers but suggests donations to East Juliette Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Post Office Box 250, Juliette, GA 31046.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
