Richard Irving Coley, 48, of 302 E. Hargett Street, died unexpectedly in Washington Saturday.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Ruth Montague Coley; his stepmother, Mrs. C. L. Wrenn of Raleigh; four sisters, Mrs. Oscar Barham of Rolesville, Louise Coley of High Point, Dorothy and Grace Coley, both of Raleigh; five brothers, Edgar, James, Albert and Elwood Coley, all of Raleigh and Richard Coley of the U. S. Army; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Russell Buffalo, pastor of the First Vanguard Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Knightdale Methodist Church cemetery.
