Taken ill only last Friday with pneumonia, John N. Lang, aged 43, died at 11 o'clock last night at St. Luke's hospital, Davenport, where he had been taken for treatment. The body was brought to Wilton this morning and to the home of his sister, Mrs. Roy McCoy. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.
He was the son of the late George J. Lang, for many years a member of the Muscatine board of supervisors, and was born on a farm three miles south of Wilton, Dec. 31, 1884. With the exception of a short residence in Columbus Junction and another at Davenport, his entire life had been spent in this vicinity.
In 1914 he was married to Miss Lillian Hucke, who died two years later. Later he married Miss [D]Ella Barkalow, who survives, together with three sisters, Mrs. Roy McCoy and Mrs. Lola Denker of Wilton and Mrs. Christie Herr of Wilton Township.
