JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Margaret Louise Hicks Medlin Hackford, 85, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 24, 2007.

She was born in Johnston County, Selma NC , September 28, 1921 and was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hackford and her daughter, Dorothy Medlin Jackson.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Bill and Cora Medlin ; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

She owned The Flower Box Florist for over 40 years. She also ran the Voyager Sandwich Shop, PartyTime Florist, and later worked at Sam's Club. Louise was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church since 1969; a member of Golden Circle Sunday School Class and the Primetimers.

She was well loved and will be missed by many.

Memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007 with Rev. Jack Stolte officiating.

The family will receive friends at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd. (718-4314) one hour prior to services.

At her request, in lieu of flowers please make donations to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
