He was born Jan. 20, 1954, in Gastonia, N.C., and came to Bradenton from there. He was a mechanic.
Survivors include a daughter, Denver of North Carolina; sisters Cheryl Terry of Canton, Mich., and Kay Eason and Theresa Hunt, both of Gastonia; a brother, Joe L. II; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Souls Harbor Church in Gastonia. Kicliter Funeral Home in Palmetto handled arrangements.
