Jeanette Curry Rogers, age 86, of LaFollette, born Jan. 16, 1921, passed away Aug. 24. Jack and Jeanette were owners of Rogers Marina and Resort and had treasured memories of the guests and homeowners there. She enjoyed the fun and friendship of their fellow members in the Up and Down Club. She was a devoted member of the LaFollette United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by husband James Conley Rogers, Jr.; parents, William F. and Effie J. Curry; brothers, Bobby and Eddie Curry; sisters, Billie Bird and Georgia Weagle. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Rogers Bolton of St. Charles, MO; son, Gary Curry Rogers of LaFollette; daughter and son in law, Pamela Rogers Campbell and Jess D. Campbell; cherished grandchildren, Curry Leigh Campbell and Jess Coby Campbell, all of Farragut. A memorial service was held Aug. 27 at the LaFollette United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dave Henderson officiating. A donation to the American Diabetes Association or LaFollette United Methodist Church would be a tribute to her life. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
