Mary Alice Pittman Bryant
December 3, 1928 - August 24, 2020

Mary Alice Pittman Bryant, lovingly known as 'Nana' to all her grandchildren, peacefully, left this earthly realm and entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 24th after a brief stay at Park Valley Inn Nursing Care, Round Rock, Texas.
Prior to being relocated to Park Valley Inn, Mary resided for the last two years at Parkwood Meadows Retirement Community in Round Rock with her loving and devoted husband, Charles E Bryant, Jr. Most will recall their many years in Sunset Valley on Country White Lane where their grandchildren recall so many visits and fond experiences. However, there were equally as many memories made at their first home on Nash Ave, where they resided from 1951 until 1972..
Mary was born on December 3, 1928 to Harvey T and Julia Armint Petty Pittman in Austin, Texas. Mary and Charles were married on February 14, 1947 at the Austin Gospel Tabernacle at 701 Trinity St, Austin, TX by Pastor W.J. Lucas. This past Valentine's Day, she and Charles celebrated seventy-three years of marriage. They resided in Austin their entire lives before relocating to Round Rock.
Mary will be missed by a host of loved ones, both friend and relatives, especially her husband, Charles E Bryant, Jr; daughter, Julia "Judy" Louise Ramirez and husband, Rocky; son, Rodney Charles Bryant and wife Michele; sister, Nina Bell Pittman Wallace; granddaughters; Dawn Michelle Simons Kieran, Regina Ramirez Dehaan and Jaymee Paige Bryant Calo and husband Christian; grandsons, Jason Patrick Bryant and wife, Nicole, Jeffrey Phillip Bryant and wife, Liz, Joshua Ramirez and wife, Jessica, and Joshua Jakob Smith. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to these, Mary was an aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who loved her and Charles as their "Second Mom and Dad". Mary and Charles loved them equally in return. The family wants to thank each of those who visited frequently and took great care to show them so much love, especially nieces, Sharon Mills Kern and Diana Mills Simer. Also, an appreciation to nephew, Larry Mills and wife Shari for their many visits and impromptu road trips they took with Aunt Mary and Uncle Charles over the years. They enjoyed these trips so much and constantly bragged about them.
Mary is preceded in death by parents; Harvey T and Julia Armint Petty Pittman; sister, Margaret Pittman Mills McCracken; brothers, Harvey T Pittman, Jr, David Warren Pittman, William Gale "Bill" Pittman, John Phillip Pittman, Daniel Joel Pittman; granddaughter, Cammie Jeanette Simons Springer; and grandson, Jarrod Paul Bryant.
Mary would have also wanted it to be known, while members of the Central Assembly of God in the 1980's, she and Charles came to love the late Pastor Tom Wilson and his wife, Brenda, forming a spiritual bond with them and their four sons, Scott, Brent, Bracy and Dallas. Mary and Charles adopted the Wilson boys as their own grandsons and spent many fun-filled hours with this family.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 29 @ 10:00am, Capital Parks/Memorial Hill Cemetery 14501 N IH35, Pflugerville, TX with Tim Bryant officiating. The family would like to thank Robert Falcon and Affordable Burial & Cremation Service for all their assistance in this difficult time.
