Laura (Wisener) Dawson was born on January 2, 1874 in Tennessee, the daughter of Samuel O Wisener (1828–1891) and Mary Angeline (Brooks) Wisener (1837–1912).
She was married to James Odie Dawson (1869-1943), 1874-1960), the son of L W Dawson and Jennie (Jones) Dawson.
Living at 751 Lynwood Avenue in Nashville, Laura was 86 years old and a widow when she died of a cerebral thrombosis September 27, 1960 at Mid-State Baptist Hospital.
Survivors included sons Samuel Leonard Dawson and Lloyd W Dawson, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, all in Nashville, brothers N A Wisner and T O Wisner of Columbia, Tennessee and W E Wisner in Nashville.
Funeral Services were held on September 29th at Ellis & Kidd Funeral Home, and burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville.
