Francia Nelson Williamson was the oldest daughter born to Eli Nelson and Sarah Rouse on January 4, 1844 in Macon County, Georgia. In 1865 she married James U Williamson (1827-1884). They had seven children:
#1) James P Williamson (1866-1936), buried in Tustenuggee Methodist Cemetery in Columbia, Co. FL
#2) William Eli Williamson (1868-1950), buried beside her in this cemetery
#3) Sarah Elizabeth Williamson Harrell (1870-1934), also buried in Conway Cemetery
#4) Henry Jefferson Williamson (1872-1944), he died in Marion Co. FL but burial location is unknown
#5) Carrie Louisa Williamson Burkett (1874-1923), buried in this cemetery
#6) Allen B Williamson (abt 1877- ? )
#7) and daughter, Babe Williamson (abt 1879- ? )

According to what was stated on her CSA widow's pension application, shortly after her husband's death in 1884, she moved with her family from Macon County, Georgia to Columbia County, Florida. Probably to be closer to her brother, Joseph Bartlett Nelson (1850-1890), who had relocated there. He is buried in Ft. White City Cemetery, Columbia County, FL. Her sister, Maggie Nelson McCormick (1856-1919), is buried in Elim Baptist Cemetery, Columbia Co., FL. Another brother, Eli Lafayette Nelson (1848-1901), is buried in Red Hill Cemetery, Macon County, GA. And her sister, Julia V Nelson Varnadore (1854-1903), is buried in Maypop Cemetery in Lafayette County, FL.

Francia lived in Columbia County & Madison County, Florida before relocating again to Orange County. Again, probably to be closer to family. Her daughters, Carrie & Sarah had relocated there, as did her son, William Eli Williamson. Francia died in Orlando, Orange County, Florida on October 7, 1909.

Four of Francia's grandchildren, James Thomas Burkett (1899-1971); Louella Reatha Burkett Middlebrooks (1907-1993); Bessie Francis Harrell Willoughby (1895-1955); and Odessa Maranda Burkett Motes (1911-2004); and her great-great grandaughter Odessa Margie Boswell Cappuccio are also buried in the Conway Cemetery.
