Max L. Anderson, 66, of Grand Island died Monday, May 6, 2013, at Bryan LGH East in Lincoln.
Mr. Anderson was born July 23, 1946, at Pratt, Kan., the son of Charles and Madeline (Heflin) Anderson.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Max, Jr.
Survivors are his loving wife, Caroline; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tracy Anderson of Warsaw, Mo.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Misty and Michael Soto of Wood River and Melinda and Robert Kuchta of Grand Island; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Barb Anderson of Juniata, Andy and Sue Anderson, Norman and Nancy Anderson, all of Hastings and Troy and Deb Anderson of Edgar; a sister, Maxine Watson of Hastings; and a brother-in-law, Harold Scheierman of Hastings.
Other survivors include grandchildren, Tara, Amber, Justin, Brittany, Joshua, Courtney, Bree, Blake and Tyler and great-grandchildren, Stella, Rylen, Ayden, Rylee and Aubrey.
He is preceded also in death by his parents; and sisters, Martha Delgado and Diana Scheierman.
Max was raised and received his education in Hastings. He was united in marriage to Caroline Cowie on Nov. 1, 1969. They made their home in Gibbon, Shelton and Grand Island. Max worked maintenance at Gibbon Packing for 39 years retiring in September 2010.
He is a member of Spirit of Life Church where he loved volunteering. Some of his enjoyments included bowling, gardening, golfing and was a Sooner fan. He enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and he loved the Lord and being a caretaker of other's needs.
