Mamie Lester, 88, resident of Tacoma for 16 years and former resident of the Summit area of Puyallup for 35 yeras died February 11, 1989. She was born in Ortonville, MN and came to Washington in 1907. She was a homemaker and attended the Lutheran Church.
Survived by three daughters, Margaret Hoffman, of Gig Harbor, Mrs. Betty Larson and Edith Wilde both of Tacoma, a son James W. Lester of Roseburg OR; two sisters; Mrs. Katherine Bedia and Mrs. Hattie Gregor both of San Landro, CA; a brother Henry Sternberg of San Leandro, CA, and twelve grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was the wife of Raymond "Ray" Lester.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11am at the Powers Funeral Home. Burial in the Woodbine Cemetery. Arangements by Powers Funeral Home of Puyallup.
