December 19, 1928 - August 20, 2020 (age 91)
Our beloved mother passed away in her sleep on August 20, 2020 in SLC, UT. She is now with her beloved husband Bryce. Mom was born December 19, 1928 to Christian Farield Christensen and Anna Ellen Olsen in SLC, UT. Married Bryce Carrol Reynolds Jan 4, 1948, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. After Bryce's death she married Glen W Whitlock on March 5, 1986.
Mom worked as a waitress for her Dad at Murray Café and Cabstand in her early life. Later she worked at the Aviation Club and the Ambassador Athletic Club and Willow Creek Country Club. She also worked at the Golden Spike Restaurant as Manager until she retired.
She was always a very hard worker and taught her children the value of hard and true work. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served as Stake Young Women's President. Mom and Dad did monthly dinners and dancing for the stake.
Bryce and LaDonna owned and operated Reynolds Sand and Gravel for many years. Mom dug the foundation for the chapel on Creek Road with a DC Cat front loader. They were always helping someone in need.
Mom loved golfing, she made 2 hole in ones and LOVED to brag about it.
She belonged to the Glendale Ladies Golf Association and golfed in the Huntsman Senior Games in St. George, Utah and earned several Medals.
Mom had a favorite saying when things got difficult for any of us. "This too shall pass"
Mom lived at Pacifica Assisted Living for the last year. We want to thank the staff for the loving care she received there, especially the loving care her granddaughter Laura (LaLa) gave her. It was a great comfort to the family that she was there with her. Her granddaughter Jennifer was always there to offer a helping hand.
Survived by her children Anna Marie Fitzlaff (Jim), Steven Bryce Reynolds (Sherrie), William (Bill) Bryant Reynolds (Debbie), Richard (Dick) Bryce Reynolds (Jean), Foster daughter Lelia McCabe, sister Myrna Roennebeck, 27 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great, great, grandchildren. Preceded in death by Bryce Carroll Reynolds and Glenn Whitlock. Grandsons Bryce Fitzlaff, and Christopher Reynolds.
